A meeting between Sudeshna and Somnath, with Sarod and Ghatam, with Hindustani and Carnatic music. We were excited – Some said it would not work to mix the two genres or just to use Sarod and Ghatam. But Hindustani and Carnatic music express the same, just in different ways.
With this collaboration a new style emerged and the involved are very satisfied which so far resulted in several concerts with standing ovation and this album – Mousson de Calcutta.
