This new album from Antonello Sorrentino is a delight. His writing is fresh, we can
hear his influences, but nevertheless there is something highly personal both in his
writing and his playing. His warm sound is welcomed right away and makes some
beautiful statements with the right amount of lyricism and dynamism.
His love for melodies and composition is evident all through the album. Furthermore
one can enjoy listening to his Italian roots with its lyricism, but at the same time
witness the music going further and embracing no boundaries.
This music is what we need now, with the times we are witnessing, healing, full of
beauty and charm. Not overly complex or too simple, just some beautiful music that
can stand the test of time.
