Dag Arnesen Trio

Pentagon Tapes was recorded in the famous Reksten Collections Building in Bergen a few weeks ago.
It was mixed at the end of November.

Hilmar Reksten was one of the major shipowners in Norway a while back.
We were renting his villa outside Bergen for this recording.
This is a huge building that houses a large art collection and no less than 13 to 14 grand pianos in different rooms.
We gained access to the whole building  and this was the first time ever it has been recorded music in this building.
We chose to do the recording in his Pentagon room that had a very good Steinway.
And that is why we naturally called the release Pentagon Tapes.
